This new design features cam lock connectors to secure the wires, and as a result of this no IDC tool is required (unlike the previous NTE5A) IMPROVED SUPERIOR QUALITY BUILT IN FILTER ADSL & VDSL filtering is provided through the faceplate, eliminating the need for a plug in micro filter, whilst still providing an RJ45/RJ11 socket which allows for the connection of a modem/router, as well as a filtered telephone socket. It is also possible to hardwire a modem/router via a cam lock connector on the back
